Arizona Floods Monsoon causes Flooding in Phoenix AZ

Arizona Floods: Monsoon causes Flooding in Phoenix AZ – Floods in Phoenix, Arizona are wreaking havoc on the desert town. Reports state that some of Interstate 17 and many other major roads are closed due to a Monsoon in Phoenix. It is currently unclear when the highway and roads will open again.

Several people have been rescued after being trapped in their homes and vehicles during the flood. So far no deaths or major injuries have been reported.

A Flash Flood Watch has been posted on the National Weather Service Website; it remains in effect until 6 p.m. MST tonight. Up to 8 inches of rain has fallen around the Phoenix area.
