President Obama On Seth Rogen, ‘James Flacco’ Movie

YouTube caption: President Obama said he loves actors Seth Rogen and James “Flacco,” but expressed disbelief that North Korea felt it needed to mount an all-out cyber-attack on Sony over the comedy, “The Interview.”

At his year-end news conference, the president was asked about the United States’ response to the hacking, which the FBI confirmed today was carried out by North Korea.

“I think it says something interesting about North Korea that they decided to have the state mount an all-out assault on a movie studio because of a satirical movie starring Seth Rogen and James Flacco,” said Obama, appearing to confuse actor James Franco with NFL quarterback Joe Flacco.

“I love Seth and I love James, but the notion that that was a threat to them, I think gives you some sense of the kind of regime we’re talking about here.”

He also said he will not disclose right now what actions the U.S. will take in response.

“They caused a lot of damage. We will respond proportionally and we will respond in a place and time and manner that we choose,” said Obama.

Of course, the Flacco-Franco slip-up did not go unnoticed, with the Ravens quarterback quickly chiming in on Twitter.
