Avian Flu and Ebola Turkey Recall Hoaxes

More “satirical” articles have people confused this holiday season. This time the topic is turkeys (how convenient for massive amounts of search traffic). One of the articles, on NationalReport, details that millions of turkeys have been recalled for being at risk of containing the Avian Flu. The other article on DailyBuzzLive says that over 250,000 turkeys were infected with Ebola at a Texas turkey farm.

Both articles aren’t factual; they are instead an attempt to poke fun at how gullible most people on the internet are.

The Daily Buzz Live article currently has 408,000 Facebook shares, and the National Report article has 1,138,000 shares. There’s definitely a lot of money to be made in this satirical article business.
